Today's Motherhood lists Top 10 Family and Kids Friendly Shopping Malls in Singapore.

This might be a useful list for you. However, do note that you may have different criterias from theirs. For example, for me a nursing room or a diaper changing station is thankfully no longer necessary as my two kids have passed that stage :)

I like huge outdoor playgrounds and wide space to roam around like the ones at VivoCity or IMM (I am not too keen on indoor playground - I just feel that it's too enclosed for the kids to play around).

VivoCity's link to Sentosa through the Sentosa Express is a big draw for us (my kids really love the train rides to and fro Sentosa).

I would like to add Sembawang Shopping Centre to this list too. It has a huge outdoor playground with a number of food outlets surrounding it.

And Changi Airport - it is really like a huge shopping mall, with so many different kind of entertainment for families. My kids love the Sky Train rides connecting the three terminals. The viewing of airplanes is a nice bonus for the kids. We have been to the Terminal 3 (the newest addition to Changi Airport) so many times and still love it!

Sembawang Shopping Centre

Newly refurbished, Sembawang Shopping Centre (SSC) is completely disabled-friendly. The entire building is wheelchair accessible, with ramps and travelators serving all levels. A key highlight of the new SSC is its 15,000 sqft rooftop "Splash Park", a dedicated water play area with interactive features to provide entertainment and amusement for children. The mall is anchored by the Giant hypermart. Popular stores include Daiso, Challenger, Popular bookstore, World of Sports, Bata, and Esprit. F&B outlets in the mall include Ajisen, Fish&Co, New York New York, and Starbucks.

IKEA Tampines

Head down to IKEA Tampines for a fun-filled shopping experience! There's always room for children at the IKEA store. At the store, the setting allows the kids to move, run, roll, dance, swing, and build. The colourful ballroom, next to the store entrance on level 2, is always a big hit with the children. However, only the kids between 0.98m and 1.2m are accepted. There is also a video room next to the ballroom where well-loved cartoon classics are screened.

At the restaurant, there is a special children's menu and a cozy children's corner where they can play or watch TV. Other facilities include high chairs and microwave ovens for warming milk. Cereals and baby food are also sold in the restaurant. There is a babycare room located opposite the restaurant for you and your young ones.

The Paragon

The Paragon is an upmarket shopping centre located on Orchard Road, between the Somerset MRT Station and Orchard MRT Station. There is one floor dedicated for children's stores, which includes a decent indoor playground that is free for all.

Forum The Shopping Mall

Forum The Shopping Mall is positioned as a family-oriented mall that boasts a unique mix of stores catering to sophisticated shoppers, families with young children and tourists. Located along the upper stretch of Orchard Road and within walking distance from Orchard MRT, the mall is anchored by Toys "R" Us and Julia Gabriel Centre.

The Hip Kids Club is for kids 12 years and below. Members of this club are entitled to discounts offered by participating tenants. There are also various activities such as music, drama, arts and crafts. What’s more, this membership allows you exclusive entry to the club’s playground. A fee of $10 is chargeable for a 2-year membership.

VivoCity

Head down to VivoCity, the largest shopping mall in Singapore, for a day full of fun! Kids will love the open-air playground and waterplay area located at Level 2. Parents may go for shopping at the Vivomart, spread over Level 1 and Basement 2, which includes the Giant Hypermarket. A wide variety of food can be found at the many restaurants and two food courts (Kopitiam and Food Republic).

The easiest way to go there is by taking the North-East Line and alight at the HarbourFront Station. VivoCity is open from 10am to 10pm daily.

IMM

Shopping can be so much more a pleasure when the children enjoy themselves too. IMM boasts 2 indoor playgrounds located on Level 2 and 3. On Level 3, there is also Kids’ Corner, a mini theatre-cum-playroom which regularly screens cartoons and children’s movies. These special spaces are designed to entertain children of all ages while their parents go about shopping.
