Credit card rewards
There are so many different credit cards from many banks out there. Wondering how to choose one? Take a look at the benefits and their rewards programs. When used wisely, credit cards can be useful for saving some money.
Here is how you can use your credit cards wisely, by utilising their rewards programs.
1. FairPrice Plus (OCBC): This is my favorite card, because there are two NTUC Fairprice outlets near my house, hence I buy my groceries frequently from the supermarket chain. This is the only credit card accepted at the supermarket chain, with minimum $30 purchase. We can earn points with every $20 spent on groceries. What I like best about this card is that we can redeem the points on the spot to pay for the groceries. Cool!
2. Everyday card (POSB): Every dollar charged to your card earns you instant cash rebates in the form of Daily$. I like this card because I get rebates every month from paying the utilities (SP Services). I then use the rebates to pay for purchases at Carrefour or Watsons.
3. American Express KrisFlyer (AMEX): If you travel frequently, you may consider this credit card. You can earn KrisFlyer miles when you charge to this card. This way, after accummulated enough miles, you can fly on Singapore Airlines for free! The very first time you charge to your American Express Singapore Airlines KrisFlyer Gold Credit Card, there will be an activation bonus of 5,000 KrisFlyer miles.
4. CapitaCard (DBS): You may consider this credit card if you frequently shop at any of 11 CapitaLand malls. You can earn rebates everytime your card is used, which then can be accumulated to offset future purchases. You can also get 3-hour free parking at CapitaLand malls, such as
