Traipse around the world this afternoon as the SAF Central Band, led by Captain Muhd Yusri B Mohd Ali, brings you music to dance to. Toe-tap to Ireland’s spirited Lord of Dance, put your hands together to the jovial Mexican Hat Dance, head-bop to the sprightly Clarinet Polka and close your eyes as the soothing melody of Emperor Waltz glides by.

Formed in 1994, the Singapore Armed Forces Central Band is the premier band of the SAF. Made up of a core group of dedicated professional musicians, supplemented by musically competent full-time national servicemen, the band not only provides quality music to major state and SAF functions, parades and ceremonies, and is an integral part of the national Day Parade, it also performs publicly as a wind orchestra, marching display band and ceremonial band as well as in other musical configurations including wind ensembles, chamber ensembles, jazz ensembles and a ceremonial fanfare trumpet consort.
