The Temasek Junior College Choir is one of the longest-established junior college choirs in Singapore and is one of the 12 schools under the Ministry of Education's Choral Excellence Schools Scheme. In the biennial SYF Choral Competitions, the choir won several Certificates of Distinctions. It sings a wide repertoire of pieces ranging from sixteenth-century Renaissance music to twentieth-century popular songs. As part of the continuous strive to expand their horizons, the Choir took part in the 5th International Choir Competition at Riva del Garda in Italy in April, 1998. The Choir was awarded silver for both mixed category, and also for the first Girls Choir in TJChoir's history. There was also a nomination for the best conductor award.This year marks the 21st anniversary of the Temasek Junior College Choir. TJChoir believes in bringing the beauty of music, in One Voice, One Heart and One Soul.
