Doulos in Singapore

The Doulos is the world's oldest ocean-going passenger ship. Built in 1914, it has visited more than 103 countries since 1977 when OM bought over the ship. She has welcomed over 20 million people on board. Presently, 50 different nations are represented in the ship's crew of 330 volunteers, each sharing, through word and action, the life-changing experience of God's love.

One main attraction of the Doulos is the bookshop which will be at VivoCity Berth and opened to the public from 3 to 7 December 2008.

Opening hours:
3-6 December from 10am - 10pm
7 December from 2pm -10pm

We went to visit the ship two years ago at the same place when I had only one 2-year-old kid. We managed to join a guided tour around the ship. It was kinda an eye opener for us to see the life of the crew on board. We even tried out some cookies prepared by the kitchen crew! We bought a couple of books from the bookshop - a good bargain I must say.
