Admiralty Park

Singapore residents can look forward to a closer experience with nature, with the opening of a new nature area at Admiralty Park. A 20-hectare nature area with over 100 species of animals and plants, it is the biggest nature area within a park in Singapore. It is also the only park in the vicinity with three types of habitats – open grassland, tropical rainforest and mangroves. The new nature area has three boardwalks and a 2-km nature trail for visitors to enjoy its rustic surroundings. The boardwalks and the trail have been carefully sited to minimise disturbance to the existing mangrove swamp and habitats. Educational signboards have also been installed to enable visitors to better appreciate the various species of flora and fauna found in the nature area.
