So did you go to this SSO event yourself? If you're there to enjoy the music, this would be a better bet those events at the park - eg. Botanic Gardens, as it is not quite THAT open-air. Altho' the best in enjoying music would be the events in auditoriums that SSO has periodically, like recently at Nanyang Poly, and last year at NUS and at Republic Polytechnic auditoriums. But those may not be suitable for very young children who cannot sit still.

Should bring your children for the free SCO (singapore chinese orchestra) concert at Racecourse in October. At least something different. Chinese instrumentals. Widen their perspective.
